A really lively meeting of our local contemporary quilt group on Saturday even though quite a few weren't able to attend. Margaret stunned everyone by showing us the quilts she had made recently using printed fabrics and ideas gained from previous meetings.
Andrea, Sandra Kath and Carol also had some really wonderful quilts to show of. Sorry that the photos don't really do them justice.
My show and tell, consisted of one samll postcard which is really not worthy of showing off. Still I have finished and uploaded my last two journal quilts and so now I have no pressing quilting commitments and we can get ready to move!
So although our sale is progressing well, we don't yet have anywhere to move to so we are hoping that we will be able to rent somewhere and then the real search begins. I will miss going to the various groups I belong to and I hope it won't be too long before I can make new friends and join local groups. We will be coming back to Yorkshire to visit the DD and the DGD so I'm sure I'll be able to catch up with everyone then. For now, I'm off to paxk a few boxes!
Really good to see those quilts again - when I've finished my JQs I'll finish setting up the CQ14 job and include a link to this post!
ReplyDeleteYOu've all been very busy and I'm delighted to see Sandra's 'Tin' quilt. I'm so pleased for you that things are progressing well on the move front. Once you're down there you'll be best placed to find your perfect home.
