At last...

...we've moved in to our new home! We've been here a week now and although we've done some unpacking, we've still got a long way to go.

This will be our bedroom and once the walls have been plastered, and painted and it has a few luxuries, like a door etc, it will be lovely! Of course, looking the other way, we can look over the garden to the sea!

We also have our own version of Flanders Fields where the earth was disturbed when the field wall was demolished and they're very pretty indeed.

No time to get my studio sorted before I go off to the NEC for the Festival of Quilts, but once we've finished all the painting and decorating, that will be my priority. I really want to get back to making things again!

  1. Poppies are lovely aren't they? They just pop up out of nowhere. I wonder if that's how they got their name? I'm very envious of your sea view.

  2. Congratulations, Penny (and Dave!). Been a long time and a lot of effort but you got there! Have just delivered my FOQ quilt and rejoined the land of the living - looking forward to catching up at FOQ (I am there all week - doing 3-day masterclass)

  3. What beautiful poppies to welcome you to the new home. That's a wonderful view too. Would be nice to see you at FOQ perhaps. Meeting Julie for lunch on Saturday.
